Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert dodge cheating rumors

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert married in May of 2011 after dating for five years and have become known as the “First Couple” of country. They are both successful in their own right but don’t let their hectic careers get in the way of their relationship — at least that is what they say. Tabloids, on the other hand, have said otherwise.

Recent reports have claimed that Blake engaged in a month-long affair with 23-year-old singer Cady Groves which allegedly began after a few flirty Twitter messages. Despite the claims, Blake “swears up and down that nothing happened,” but his questionable past isn’t working in his favor. When he first hooked up with Miranda, he was married to high school sweetheart Kaynette Williams.

Miranda “knows [Blake] comes off as flirty,” an insider said. “She questions him at times and asks about certain girls. The rumors are hard to hear.” Because of that, Miranda makes regular visits to the set of The Voice “to keep an eye on him,” but not because she doesn’t trust him. A second insider claims that while Miranda “trusts him … she knows how flirty he appears” and doesn’t want people to get the wrong idea.

Although there has been plenty of speculation about Blake’s wandering ways, the two are committed to their marriage and making things work. “They Skype, text and call each other constantly,” another source explains.

“Divorce is not an option,” Miranda told Us Magazine at the ACM awards earlier this month. “We really love each other and have a marriage. You go through the hard stuff together, and those are the moments that actually count. The rest is just fluff.”

Miranda and Blake even have an agreement between them that they will never spend more than two weeks away from each other. “We have to see each other,” she says of her 14 day limit. “After that, you start building up walls, and then it’s too hard to get to know each other, you know?”
