I recently did a post on a local access Real Housewives spinoff from Cincinnati called Queen City but those ladies haven’t got jack on the queen bees of the Inmate Wives of Baltimore. This is real homemade reality and it’s the brainchild of Tameka Patterson (Pooh) who’s husband is, you guessed it, behind bars in Baltimore! It’s like The Wire meets Real Housewives meets your friend who does random YouTube videos meets Lockdown: Prison Nation. In other words this could very well be the single greatest thing that has ever existed!
Before I get into this magic I’ve got to give a shout out to our friends from Straight From the A for unearthing this goldmine. If you ever want to keep straight on the latest from the ATL this is where you go – no doubt. Now on to real reality as the Inmate Wives keep it real in Baltimore.
This first clip I’m posting is an introduction of sorts from Tameka (Pooh) Patterson. Following the vid I’ll give you a little summary:
Tameka explains that the series is all about being down with your incarcerated man regardless of how long their stay is and what they’ve done. Her husband is Daunte Greg, aka Fish, she loves him and stalks her phone just waiting for him to ring. She has a fellow friend on the phone who’s got a man in the big house but at the end we’re introduced to the show’s other star, Big Mook.
POOH:
Pooh talks it and walks it and has little time for h8rs. She’s part camerawoman, part interviewer, part one of the boys and all that.
MOOK:
Mook is mook, that’s all you ever need to know. That and girl’s down with Pooh and that without her this Inmate Wives of Baltimore joint just doesn’t bang.
In this next incredible clip we find Pooh and Mook at Sams Club as they take a phone ring from Mook’s man Keith who has called collect from prison. Keith doesn’t know it but he’s getting interviewed for the show while the ladies are in the soda aisle:
These inmate wives work hard at this because there are currently almost 100 videos uploaded to their YouTube channel. That means sadly I can’t show all of them to you but I ain’t stopping here right!?! Next up we see our girls showing some of their sangin’ skills as they go all out with flashlight microphones for a little sing-a-long:
While I’m totally feelin’ Pooh and Mook they do have their own share of YouTube haters. Just from the little we’ve seen of P & M you know they couldn’t let all that go without addressing the situation. Here’s what they have to say about it (they got some adult language in this one):

The Inmate Wives of Baltimore, Pooh and Mook, aren’t only pushing the reality envelope; they are sealing it up, stamping it and sending it first class to the rest of America.
