American Idol’s Josh Gracin posted apparent suicide note to Facebook
America Idol season 2 finalist Josh Gracin posted an apparent suicide note to Facebook in the wake of marital problems.
TMZ reports that cops responded to the former Marine’s home in Spring Hill, Tennessee where he lives with his wife and 4 children. When they arrived at the home his wife was there but he wasn’t.
Here’s what Gracin posted that a family member is said to have seen which prompted notification to the authorities:
“I’ve loved her for 17 years … I made mistakes … I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her help the most. Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music … Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye.”
Police were able to get in contact with Gracin by phone at which point he spoke with his wife and said he was coming home.
The authorities were able to locate Gracin in route and they escorted him to a hospital where he was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.
Last nigh Josh’s manager reached out to his fans via his public Facebook page:
Good evening everyone. This is Josh’s manager, Amy. First, thank you everyone for your prayers and concern. Josh is safe and with his family now. We ask that you please respect their privacy during this time and continue sending your well wishes. I promise to update you soon.
Shortly thereafter it was posted that Gracin’s scheduled concert tonight in Charleston, West Virginia had been cancelled.
