90 DAY FIANCE Fernanda posts explicit video of Jonathan, apologizes for ‘huge mistake’

Fans of 90 Day Fiance star Fernanda Flores got a bit of a shock on Tuesday when the 19-year-old posted an explicit video of her husband Jonathan Rivera on Instagram with his penis on full display.

The video was taken by Fernanda and includes her hand and voice as well as Jonathan’s. After initially focusing on Jonathan’s nether region, the brief clip pans up to show his face as well.

Fernanda would quickly delete the clip, but not before fans were able to save it and later share it on numerous social media platforms. “I’m so sorry from the bottom of my heart that you had to see that it was a huge mistake,” Fernanda later wrote in a text graphic apology via her Instagram story.

Jonathan iterated Fernanda’s remorse by commenting on Instagram: “As for the video, that without question was a mistake. We are so sorry you had to see that.”

The video reportedly made the rounds in a couple 90 Day Fiance Facebook groups, and screen shots spread like wildfire on other platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and reddit. As you would expect, Jonathan’s junk quickly became the “talk of the town” among fans and social media accounts dedicated to the popular series as many openly joked about whether or not the mistake was indeed “huge” (with two different meanings).

The posts and comments apparently did not sit well with Jonathan and Fernanda as they reportedly contacted numerous social media accounts making requests such as: “Please delete every post where you are using our name or image.”

In another message sent to a popular 90 Day Fiance Instagram account, Jonathan reportedly asked that they remove content about him and Fernanda before adding: “I’m sorry but I don’t want this tangled up in a lawsuit.”

As a result of Jonathan and Fernanda’s attempted censorship campaign, a number of admins on various 90 Day Fiance social media accounts have joined together in protest and are pledging to no longer mention the couple on any platform moving forward.

Here is the announcement posted by @90dayfiancecraycray, which is run by the folks who publish the 90 Day Fiance Cray Cray podcast:

As many commenters on various social media platforms have pointed out, Jonathan and Fernand have no legal right to ask that anyone not talk about — or report on — the video that Fernanda posted. The legal issues become less black-and-white when it comes to the video itself, or even screen caps from the video, being posted.

If posting the video was indeed a mistake, then of course Fernanda and Jonathan have my sympathies. (Although it is a multi-step process, I’m sure it is somehow possible to post an explicit video to Instagram by accident.) But, attempting to silence reactions to it are just going to bring more attention to it. To be honest, the scene of Fernanda and Jonathan working out together at the gym was pretty much a sex tape already, amirite?

UPDATE – Fernanda has seemingly responded to the ongoing media blitz surrounding her epic whoopsie by sharing a message about being misunderstood and judged, and how that shouldn’t stand in the way of being authentic and committed to love. Wait, what? Here’s her post:

Let them judge you. Let them misunderstand you. Let them gossip about you. Their opinions aren’t your problems. You stay kind, committed to love, and free in you authenticity. No matter what they do or say, don’t you dare doubt your worth or the beauty of your truth. Just keep shining like you do. #staystrong

Perhaps that is in response to something other than posting a video of her husband’s private parts on Instagram? Meanwhile, I took valuable time out of my day to create this Oscar-worthy video short depicting what life has been like for scrotally averse 90 Day Fiance fans on social media over the past 24 hours:

Surprisingly, Fernanda’s 90 Day Fiance co-star and pseudo-nemesis Larissa Dos Santos Lima has yet to respond to Jonathan’s explicit video, but I would assume that she will be posting something — probably using the word “biggee” — very soon.
