19.2 (8.7kgs) pound Indonesian baby born
A 19.2 pound baby was born in Indonesia via C-section. This is the biggest newborn in Indonesia (the biggest newborn in the world was 4 pounds heavier.) Doctors attribute the baby’s giant size to the mother’s diabetes. The disease can cause too much glucose to go to the baby, causing large growth.
The baby cries louder than the other babies, and reportedly eats constantly.
The nearly 20-lb. infant hasn’t yet been named, and is his mother’s fourth child. He’s also the only one not born at home with a midwife, because his mother had to go to the hospital due to complications with the birth.
