Duck Dynasty: All four Robertson brothers without beards

Jase Robertson Si Robertson Willie Robertson Phil Robertson

In case you haven’t noticed, the men of Duck Dynasty‘s Robertson family have beards. Wild and bushy beards with big personalities. In the same way that, say Woody Allen made New York City a character in Manhattan, Duck Dynasty seems to consider those beards members of the cast. Case in point: the first promotional spot for the new season features brother Jase’s beard using a cell phone. Just sayin’.

But, if you can draw your eye away from those scene stealing beards, you might just catch a glimpse of one of the Robertsons. They have faces! Handsome faces, as a matter of fact, and we here at Starcasm think they should get their own moment in the spotlight now and then. So, recently, we brought you some great photos of young, fresh-faced Willie and clean-shaven family man, Jase.

But,now, there’s more! In addition to giving you another look at Willie and Jase’s dimples, this photo brings you all four Robertson brothers . . . together . . and young!.

Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson Jase Robertson Jep Robertson Alan Robertson without beards

Die hard fans of the show (or the Duck Commander/Buck Commander dynasty) may recognize younger brother “Jep” (Short for Jeptha.) He made a few appearances during the first season, and we’re told we’ll see some more of him in Season Two. Jep is more comfortable behind the camera, though. He’s responsible for slogging a camera around and getting some of the amazing footage that made the Duckmen videos popular long before Duck Dynasty brought the Robertson family to cable TV fame.

Duck Dynasty Jep Robertson Jeptha Robertson

Jep’s official profile on the Duck Commander website describes him this way:

The youngest son of Phil and Kay Robertson, Jules Jeptha “Jep” Robertson, grew up in the duck blind. Utilizing these years of experience for his role as the cameraman and editor for the family business, Jep is able to think like a hunter behind the camera and therefore, capture excellent footage for the Duckmen DVD series and the television show, Benelli Presents Duck Commander. Jep continues with the goal his father began years ago, to bring the “Duckmen style” of hunting out of the swamps, into the editing room, and into the homes of duck hunting enthusiasts around the world. Jep’s passion for capturing the hunt on camera was stoked when he made his filming debut in “Duckmen X”, and it remains his favorite Duckmen DVD to date. Jep resides in Louisiana with his wife Jessica and four children, Lily, Merritt, Priscilla, and River.

And on the biblical principle of the first shall be last, brother number four, who hasn’t been on the show yet, is actually eldest brother, Alan, who is the only one of the four who doesn’t work full-time for the family business. He’s also the only one who still doesn’t sport a beard. (Coincidence?) We’re told that we didn’t see him during Season One because he was busy serving his church as a full time Pastor, but I have to wonder if it doesn’t have something to do with those clean-shaven, un-Robertson cheeks! Doesn’t help the family image, really, does it? Rumor has it that that Alan might be making an appearance in Season Two. Bearded or not, here he comes!

According to Alan’s official Duck Commander proflie,

Alan is the oldest son of the Duck Commander. He grew up hunting and fishing and helping build the foundation of the family business in the 1970’s & ’80’s. Back in the day, he and Phil would travel around Louisiana and Arkansas selling duck calls to stores right out of the truck! The sales pitch back then was the same as today: “These calls are the best ‘cause they sound just like a duck!”He left the duck call business when he received the call for full time ministry in 1988 and now serves as a senior pastor in West Monroe, LA. Alan is still a part of the family’s commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ through their love of hunting and the great outdoors. He calls himself a Jacob in a family of Esaus…

And here’s another, more recent photo of all four brothers plus Father Phil and some of the folks involved in the production of the Duck Commander videos. They’re accepting a Golden Moose award from the Outdoor Channel for Best Bird Hunting video (congrats, guys!), but that’s not the big news. Check out Alan on the far left . . . and his little beard! There might be hope for that boy after all.

  • Sharvey

We love Duck Dynasty, a good clean show. There is no cussing, swearing and sex to be found. They still believe in God and bless their food. I love Si and his cup. I hope the Lord blesses the show and their business and stays clean.

    • Kelly

There actually is a lot of stuff about sex, with Phil and his chats!

      • d

but its moral and not dirty

        • OSO420

Talking about beastiality is not dirty?

      • 6Cinnamongirl3

        Very innocent nothing lewd

    • Guidobrat

Couldnt agree more. The food blessing at the end of each episode has become one of the trademarks of the show.

  • matt

  • JesusSaves

I love this show! I pray they don’t allow fame to warp their faith. Yes Phil, you have had some inappropriate comments, so take a cold shower before the camera rolls please. Keep it clean for Christian families like mine. “The churches of Christ salute you,” Romans 16:16 😀

    • Scott Baldwin

Lighten up! It’s all in good fun!

    • JD

Christians have sex, there is nothing immoral or sinful about sex, if God did not intend for us to have sex, God would not have given us sexual organs to reproduce with. Phil educating his grandchildren about dating and about sex is definitely one of his roles as a patriarch and is something that is severely lacking in the homes of most people today.

  • KC

We a cup just like Si’s!!!

    • Guidobrat

lol..he told Willie his Mom sent it to him when Si was in Vietnam :) He also told Will he cleans the cup with bleach !! LOL

  • Guidobrat

I may be a non-hunting Yankee (lol), but the Robertson’s are without doubt
my fave family on tv..BAR NONE ! They’re THE best. Love those ppl. Cant say enough good about them. Money didnt
change them–they retain their Southern class with gusto. They’re REAL. Si is HILARIOUS,
Willie & Phil MADE that business what it is, Miss Kay and the girls (Korie,
Jessica, Missy AND Sadie) are LADIES, and I truly enjoy the “repartee” between
Jase (the pre-emminent frog connoiseur on the planet), Jep, Martin & Godwin
^5. The ONLY objection I have to this truly loved series is that we dont see
MOUNTAIN MAN nearly enough !! (the episode when Willie & Si went on MM’s
radio show was CLASSIC !!! hahaha) Keep it up boys..dont EVER leave the air…I
dont wanna ever say “They gone !!” lol Kevin in NYC

  • Roberto Hachey

Can”t wait to see Willie & korie at the boats &Spormant show in Edmonton Alberta on March 5 2013.

  • Tori

Did anyone else notice the smiley face in bottom left corner of the page?

    • R.G.

I did! It’s barely noticeable — thank you, for pointing it out to me. Very cool.

  • brandy

    I love you guys

  • brandy

hay you guys rock and can you say the names haylee destiny and brandy on your next show because that would show my kids that I care because they think I don’t

  • breezie2911

This show rules! I love Jase & Si! Not literally but they have some charactor thats for sure & they make the show. Willie makes me laugh because he’s such a big kid. Spoiled too! LOL. Jep’s quiet & that leaves a bit of mystery to him & Phil, the wise leader. The rest of the cast of coarse are all wonderful too. Missy needs to lighten up.

  • Scott Mirise

I love how they kill beaver out of season and use explosives to destroy beaver dams.

    • steve

In Alabama there is no closed season on beavers….may be he same there. And you can get a permit for explosives.

  • Abigail Mills Bronson

I watch the show all the time and Kay and Phil have mentioned four sons but never seen the forth son, so this was great to see Alan the forth, hope he and his family join the show soon.

  • LarrySTS

    Totally fake, figures..

    • Anthony Ryan

      Well so are you

  • matt99

Don’t you people get the article? The show is totally fake, they made it up.

    • Anthony Ryan

Well so is your life, cry us a river, build a bridge and get over yourself

  • Tessa

Those boys were really good looking, what happened to them? Those beards are horrible.

  • josh egan

the robertsons used to be like any other rich millionaires, but once they realized they could make millions more, they donned the beards and the backwords views and became an instant success…

  • Leigh Ann Dills Grimm

My youngest kiddo, 15 year old Matthew, introduced me to this excellent reality show. I am so impressed how Mr. Phil expresses his Christian beliefs and they end every episode with him blessing their meal with a prayer. God’s Blessings! I liked the Christmas episode and how beautifully everyone did in the play and singing carols. Our family enjoys watching every episode together and discussing the hilarious antics of the brothers and Uncle Si. Thank you and keep up the good work! God’s Blessings, Leigh Ann Grimm ^j^

    • dave elliott

lol, fooled you too huh? jokes on you. you should be embarrassed.

  • Joe Bigliogo

Don’t people notice the stark contrast between the brothers on Duck Dynasty and the way they actually looked? They’re playing golf for crying out loud and posing at a resort swimming pool. Regardless how well the show is done, it’s a total con job. These fake ass yuppies are just actors and about as much rugged outdoors types as Charlton Heston was Moses.
