Sooooo, we almost sort of bought 49-year-old Jim Carrey’s explanation that he was joking when he made that creepy video asking out 23-year-old starlet Emma Stone. But now the New York Post reports that he’s dating Anastasia Vitkina, a 23-year-old Russian girl attending college in New York. Maybe he was serious about that Emma Stone hook-up after-all, but settled for a less famous one-score-and-three-year-old.
Here’s a zoomed in photo of Anastasia Vitkina:
In Jim’s love video to Emma, he noted the age difference head-on, saying that IF he was “a lot” younger he would marry her. “And every day, for the rest of your life, you would thank God that I was the appropriate age for you,. But I’m not. I’m 49. I have lines on my face, sometimes a little gray in my beard, and it takes me a little bit longer to pee than it used to.”
Maybe Anastasia doesn’t care how long it takes Jim to pee!
The pair have been spotted together in October, and most recently were photographed (above) attending a Guns N’ Roses concert together in L.A. on December 21, 2011.
Anastasia even took to Twitter (and perhaps even created her two-tweet Twitter account) back on October 5 to attack The Daily Beast writer Chris Lee for an article that he wrote on Jim Carrey’s new-found passion for graffiti. Anastasia wrote that Chris Lee should be ashamed of himself for the article, to which he responded with a simple “why?” tweet. Anastasia then got a bit uglier and called Lee a “devil,” which was a reference to an earlier tweet by Jim Carrey himself. After that Lee had had enough and dismissed her altogether as only a blogger can:
The whole interaction is really strange because I read the article and it’s not negative at all, especially given the fact that Jim Carrey seemed to be drawing comparisons between his work and that of legendary street artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Banksy!
Could Anastasia’s Twitter defense have been the romantic spark that ignited their love flame? Anastasia is reportedly the ex-girlfriend of Carrey’s friend David Schoonmaker, so perhaps she was just a friend with benefits of a friend?
(Oh, in case you missed it, Jim Carrey split from long-time girlfriend Jenny McCarthy April, 2010.)
