PHOTO Kelly Osbourne receives “Saint Barbie” print by Mark Ryden as a gift from her parents

Are you a huge Kelly Osbourne fan and you’re wondering what the perfect Christmas gift for her would be? Too late, her parents already gave it to her! It was an original Mark Ryden lithograph of his painting “Saint Barbie” featuring a Kelly Osbournesque little girl worshiping at the feet of a glowing naked Barbie doll floating on a pink cloud. (I am just assuming it is a lithograph – as you can see in the eBay link below they can go for up to $14,000 – I can’t imagine what the original would cost! Especially given that this is a pretty famous work already!)

Kelly shared her excitement over getting the painting and her gratitude for having such thoughtful parents on Twitter:

Mark Ryden is a hugely popular painter and illustrator known for his lusciously painted figures in surreal symbolic compositions, often reminiscent of adult-themed children’s book illustrations. His work has graced album covers for Michael Jackson, Ringo Starr, Jeff Beck, Oingo Boingo, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Screaming Trees, Scarling, and Jack Off Jill, as well as numerous book jackets, including Stephen King’s Desperation and The Regulators.
