Every time I’m zoning in and out to Wilco’s unforgettable Yankee Hotel Foxtrot I think to myself, “It sure would be cool if Jeff Tweedy would randomly do a weather forecast.”
Well my handshake drug dreams have been realized as the aforementioned Tweedy stepped in during WGN’s weather report this morning and gave being a meteorologist a shot. It was his hometown turf so that probably gave him an extra dose of courage.
Here’s the hilarious results as the bald on-duty dude says, “It’s nice to have a hairy weatherman,”
Did you notice that the producers started playing “A Shot in the Arm” from Summerteeth? I loved it! The man notorious for his wit delivered a perfect line when asked to do the 7 day forecast. Tweedy said:
“Well 7 days kind of sounds optimistic to me.”

Man, I love Jeff Tweedy. The band was on hand to perform the title track from their most recent release The Whole Love. Here is the band and Tweedy slaying on what has to be one of my favorite songs of the last 20 years, “Jesus, Etc.”
