Who are the new Biggest Loser trainers, Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom?
On tonight’s premiere of The Biggest Loser: Glory Days, the new contestants won’t be the only unfamiliar faces… Two new trainers, Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom, are joining the show to replace Jillian Michaels.
Who is Jessie Pavelka?
If you recognize the last name, that’s because Jessie’s cousin Jake Pavelka was The Bachelor in 2010. Even though 31-year-old Jessie isn’t currently as well-known among Americans, he hosted multiple extreme weight loss shows in the U.K.
Before becoming a trainer, the hunky Texan played college football for the University of North Texas and later competed as a professional bodybuilder. According to his NBC profile, Jessie said those experiences taught him that making small dietary or fitness adjustments can have big overall results.
Unfortunately for those asking the inevitable question “Is Jessie Pavelka single?” the answer is no…
He has been married to Canadian soap actress Sitara Hewitt since 2008. They have one son, Rowan, who was born in 2010.
Who is Jennifer Widerstrom?
NBC viewers may remember Jennifer from her days dominating American Gladiators. Since appearing on that show, she’s been featured on MSN and Access Hollywood as a fitness expert as well as in several national magazines as a fitness model.
She studied sports administration at the University of Kansas, where she learned how to help people take a holistic approach to health and wellness. Kind of amazingly, Jennifer told E! News she doesn’t do any cardio. She also admitted to occasionally indulging in her guilty pleasure of chocolate long john doughnuts… And once shared a slice of birthday cake with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
According to her NBC bio, Jennifer has volunteered at schools and orphanages around Africa and has gone on several Goodwill Military Tours.
