If you’re a fan of Tori Spelling, there good and bad news this week: Her ABC Family sitcom with Jennie Garth, Mystery Girls, was reportedly canceled after one season of poor ratings… But Lifetime’s True Tori is officially coming back in October.

According to a press release from Lifetime, filming for eight new episodes of True Tori began today. Crew will follow Tori “in near real-time as she searches for honesty and happiness” with husband Dean McDermott, who admitted to cheating on her.

“As Tori attempts to move on following one of the most devastating chapters of her life, she is now focused on healing herself and dealing head-on with the issues that have plagued her for years,” the network said. “Cameras will capture this raw, unfiltered journey as she addresses everything from her family relationships to her business ventures, all while juggling four kids and salvaging her marriage. While much of the chaos of last spring is seemingly behind her, there still exists a tremendous amount of work ahead for Tori as she struggles to find her true self.”

Following the end of the first season of True Tori, she changed her social media handles from @ToriandDean to @Tori_Spelling on Twitter and @ToriSpelling on Instagram. Despite those bad omens, she claimed “things are getting better” on Good Morning America in June.

“You know, life is always a work in progress and our relationship is one as well, but we are moving in the right direction,” Tori said. She added she had “no regrets” about doing True Tori, even though the show was criticized by many.

The new season of True Tori premieres on Lifetime on Tues., Oct. 21 at 9/8c.
