VIDEO Miley Cyrus debuted a song about her friend’s dead cat and it’s surprisingly good
During her performance at Art Basel in Miami Beach last Wednesday, Miley Cyrus stripped down to pasties and smoked a joint on stage — but that’s not all! Miley also performed a new song about her friend’s dead cat.
“I feel like her cat kind of told me what I was supposed to say to get her through it,” Miley said when introducing “The Twinkle Song,” according to Billboard. “It was more therapy to me than anything.”
Miley explained she was nervous to debut the song because it was her first time performing the song in public and her first time singing without backup from a band. Then she proved she’s actually a really talented singer…
“The Twinkle Song” isn’t Miley’s first time paying tribute to a deceased pet: After her beloved Alaskan Klee Kai puppy Floyd died last spring, she broke down on stage with a giant replica of the dog. She later got a tattoo featuring the dog.
