Ever since Miley Cyrus’ Alaskan Klee Kai puppy Floyd tragically passed last week, the Bangerz singer has been on an emotional roller coaster. On top of it all, she’s in the midst of a concert run in the Northeast.

During Boston soundcheck on April 2, Miley’s emotions and “show must go on” mentality collided — leading her to break down while singing “Can’t Be Tamed” to a 60-ft. replica of her late pup. She was comforted by sister Noah.

Before the song, she reportedly said, “My dog who is, I shouldn’t say he was my favourite, but he was my favourite, he passed away… What you don’t understand is he’s not in a better place the best place he could be was with me… where he was loved more than anything. This is the third worst day of my life. I am beyond miserable.”

Miley was able to get through the same tribute during her April 5 show in Brooklyn. Still, she told the crowd it was the “hardest song of the night.”

“As ya’ll know, because I lost my Floydie this week, sometimes I just can’t stop from breaking down crying,” she said, according to Us Weekly. “But it’s so healing for me to be here with you.”

Off-stage, Miley’s been comforted by a puppy, Moonie — although she admitted it is difficult to fully open her heart again.

According to some reports, Floyd was killed by a coyote. Previously, Miley’s dog Lila was fatally wounded during a fight with one of her other dogs, Ziggy. That dog was later given to a family without other pets.

Miley is also mom to pups Happy, Mary Jane and Penny Lane.
