Jacob Nodarse mugshot

The main suspect in the killings of Jeffrey Kramer, 50, Lori Kramer, 48, and their youngest son, Michael, 20 was arrested in Lehigh Acres, just outside of Fort Myers, Florida today. 23-year-old Jacob Nodarse was wanted by Illinois law enforcement for the Kramer Family slayings, all three of which were found shot dead in their Darien, Illinois home Tuesday.

Suspicions first fell on the boyfriend of 25-year-old Angela Kramer, the Kramer’s oldest daughter, who was embroiled in a custody battle with Angela over their 13-month-old son. Sources tell NBC Chicago that “there had been ongoing issues between the family’s oldest daughter and her boyfriend.” Angela was hiding in a closet and called 911 when she heard the gunshots.

It has since been revealed that Angela’s boyfriend has been cooperating with authorities. From The Chicago Sun Times:

“Sources told the Chicago Sun-Times that the ex-boyfriend called police Tuesday morning saying he saw news coverage of the killings on TV and wanted to know whether Angela was OK. The ex-boyfriend was accompanied to the Darien Police station by an attorney. Darien Deputy Police Chief John Cooper said the man was not a suspect.”

Authorities have not released the connection between Nodarse and the Kramer family, but based on the way the Kramers were killed, they have stated fromt he beginning that the family was targeted and the crime was not random.

Jacob Nodarse was found sleeping in a van outside of his parents’ Florida home in Lehigh Acres, which is about 20 miles east of Fort Myers. He has not been charged with murder, but authorities have verified he is the prime suspect in the Kramer family murder investigation.
