A night of drinking with friends in Mexico City turned tragic for 21-year-old Oscar Otero Aguila who died while attempting to take a selfie while using a loaded pistol as a prop.
Aguilar was found dead at a home in the Gustavo A. Madero borough of Mexico City. The responding officers arrested one of the two men who were out drinking with him that fateful evening. The other man, known as “El Paco,” is being sought after by the authorities, according to Proceso Magazine.
Aguilar is believed to have fired one shot from a wooden-handled .45 caliber pistol into his forehead during the ill-fated photo attempt that was intended for Facebook.
Although arrests were made the death is believed by authorities to have been an accident.
An autopsy is scheduled for later this week according to the NYP.
