Vegas school parents irate over Sister Wives camera invasion
A group of concerned elementary school parents wants what happens in Vegas to stay in Vegas and they’re making noise over TLC’s polygamy-themed reality show Sister Wives invading their Valentine’s Day dance.
The production crew with Sister Wives came to Sheila Tarr Elementary school to film the Brown family during the scheduled school function. Parents were notified that this would be happening days before the event occurred and many were not happy about it. In response the school and the crew made concessions by agreeing not to discuss the location of the school and to blur out faces of any of the children not associated with the show.
Regardless of the agreement, some of the parents were still angered by the taping, considering it an invasion of privacy. A representative with the Clark County School District stated:
“The district heard the concerns of the parents involved and considered them when developing the compromise. In the past few months, we’ve had the Ellen show, ABC News, Oxygen Network, and countless local broadcasts filmed at our schools. TLC and the Brown family deserved the same.”
Man, I guess if you’re a child actor and want to get noticed get yourself enrolled in a Clark County school. No one ever came to my school to film jack, but I digress…
