VANDERPUMP RULES’ Scheana Marie and Mike Shay announce their divorce
After just two years of marriage, Scheana Marie and Mike Shay are officially going their separate ways.
The couple released an elaborate joint statement to announce their divorce:
While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship. Much of the recent speculation and reporting on our relationship has been misguided, and we have come to an amicable decision on all matters. We might have failed at our marriage, but we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other’s personal happiness and professional success.
Scheana also tweeted out a message of thanks to her fans during this rough time.

News of Mike and Scheana’s split doesn’t come as a surprise given their recent issues. Last month, reports surfaced of Mike’s erratic behavior including on-going substance abuse issues, draining his bank account, and disappearing.
Later reports confirmed Mike wasn’t missing– he was simply lying low with family and friends. Mike also disputed the claim he stole Scheana’s money.
Mike and Scheana married in July of 2014 and their nuptials were filmed for Vanderpump Rules.
The couple began having issues not long into their marriage.
Scheana opened up about their relationship struggles saying, “The truth is everything isn’t great. It’s not perfect. And I keep trying to act like everything’s okay. It’ll get better. I just keep telling myself, ‘It’ll be okay, and it’ll get better.'”
