I think everyone knows someone who knows someone this has happened to. My close friend was Wii boxing with his son on Christmas day when his remote went through his brand new widescreen plasma screen TV. Given how often this seems to happen it seems only logical that there would be a video camera rolling on a few of them, and a search on Youtube proved my theory correct!
Here are the top five “caught in the act” busted television Wii moments:
Oh, as you might expect, there is a good bit of profanity in these. (Completely justified!) So if you’re at work, you might want to hit the mute button.
5. This one is great because it has a Christmas theme and you get to see the television getting unwrapped.
4. This one got a lot of play and I think it was even featured on Ellen. It’s got great action, but you miss the money shot of the bat actually hitting the screen.
3. No money shot here either, but you get to see Joseph Conradian horror in the face of poor Dan. “TV. He dead.”
2. This dude is reduced to an infant who can only say “Momma! Momma!” But my favorite part is when he grabs the top of the TV and gives it a shake, like that’s going to fix the brand new gaping hole in the screen.
1. Watch as this annoying QVC salesman demonstrates why $2 Wii remote attachments are probably a bad idea.
Good ol’ live TV! This is the only known TV-destroying Wii remote accident video in existence where there is absolutely no remorse. A rare find indeed!
