AUDIO Tasmanian senator incites guffaws with radio interview: ideal man must have “heaps of cash” and big “package”
Jacqui Lambie is a woman who knows what she wants.
Senator Jacqui Lambie gave a off-the-cuff interview to Hobart radio station Heart 107.3 where she said her ideal man would be both rich and well-endowed.
Lambie, of Australia’s Palmer United Party, told the hosts of the Kim and Dave Show that she had not had a lover in eleven years, owing to time spent raising two sons and working in the Australian Defense Force.
The hosts asked Lambie, 43, what she was looking for in a man. To which she responded:
They must have heaps of cash and they have got to have a package between their legs—let’s be honest. And I don’t need them to speak…[it’s] the perfect man.
Shortly after this exchange, a 22-year-old listener named Jamie called the program to talk to the senator. Apparently not one to back down from an interesting exchange, she proceeded to ask about his qualifications.
“I am a bit concerned, because you are so young, that you may not be able to handle Jacqui Lambie,” she first said.
She asked Jamie “Do you have plenty of cash?” When he affirmed that he did, and implied that he had made it by “[being] about a bit,” Lambie grew concerned, asking “You don’t have any diseases, do you?”
Finally, she got to the important stuff: “Are you well-hung?”
His answer satisfied her: Jacqui and Jamie have a breakfast date later this month.
After the interview, the senator issued the following statement:
When Kim and Dave on Hobart’s Heart FM 107.3 this morning asked me about my love life in a light-hearted segment, I tried to cover up my embarrassment by making a joke. A lot of people laughed–including the tradie I was talking to–but some people may have got offended. I apologise to any radio listeners who may be offended by my comments on Kim and Dave’s Show. Of course my political enemies will make a big deal out of my comments, but the reality is I was talking with Kim and Dave on Heart FM–not Sarah Ferguson on the ABC.
