Sheree Whitfield to be on Iyanla: Fix My Life, update on blogger restraining orders
Sheree Whitfield walked away from The Real Housewives of Atlanta nearly one year ago after four seasons with the show (although some claim she was fired). And now, she’s heading back to television — but this time around she won’t be engaging in catty arguments with other women. Instead, she’ll be trying to settle the issues she has with her ex-husband Bob Whitfield.
In the second season of OWN Network’s Iyanla: Fix My Life, Sheree and Bob will sit down with Iyanla Vanzant with the goal of being able to co-parent their two children together despite their messy divorce and child support issues. Sheree and Bob will be featured in the second episode, after the 90-minute premiere with rapper DMX. According to the press release, “Iyanla sits down with the couple to talk about the role of co-parenting in spite of their contentiousdivorce. Secrets are revealed, truths are uncovered and emotions run high as Sheree and Bob reveal how they really feel about each other.”
And speaking of how Sheree really feels about people, she apparently isn’t very fond of Atlanta bloggers who aren’t very fond of her! According to TMZ, Sheree was just granted three temporary restraining orders against Tamara Brawner (TamaraTattles.com), Quentin Latham (FunkyDineva.com) and Michelle Brown (StraightFromTheA.com) in a Georgia court after claiming the bloggers have been trespassing on her property. Sheree alleges that Tamara went inside the property where she filmed video and took photos which she later posted online. The other two hadn’t gone inside, but were on the grounds and also took video and photos. “I’m afraid for my life,” Sheree said.
Straight From the A’s Michelle Brown reacted to the supposed restraining order in a blog post, stating that she and her attorney were unaware of any such restraining order being filed and that she found the whole thing ridiculous because the focus is on a property that Sheree was never the actual owner of in the first place. (The infamous “Chateau Sheree”)
Funky Dineva went as far as to suggest that it may have been Sheree’s appearance on Iyanla: Fix My Life that led to her filing the restraining orders in the first place. (Which makes complete sense to me!) Here’s an excerpt:
I have a strange feeling that somewhere in this episode Sheree’ is going to make mention of being perpetually embarrassed in the media and in particular by BLOGGERS. Perhaps I am connecting dots that don’t exist, but that is how I feel all this restraining order foolishness ties into this show. The gag is, everybody knows that Bob Whitfield has ties both professionally and personally to several Atlanta bloggers. That being said, I really feel some kind of way about all of this. The only person that Sheree needs to file a restraining order against is the creditors that keep taking her stuff!
Tamara Tattles blogger Tamara Brawner’s attorney Ashleigh Merchant tells Reality Tea, “Ms. Whitfield’s stalking protective order against Ms. Brawner was denied and the judge did not find that Ms. Whitfield had proven her case of stalking and the temporary order that was in place was dismissed. At this point the attorneys are working on drafting a CONSENT stay away where all consent to stay away from each other. This has not been agreed to or entered yet.”
Sheree’s episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life is set to air on Saturday, April 20 at 9/8c.
