On Mother’s Day Selena Gomez tweeted the above photo that seemed to indicate her mom Mandy Teefey was expecting. While nothing was ever confirmed officially, fans couldn’t think of another reason as to why the Spring Breakers star would post a pic doing a baby bump clutch on her mama.
Keeping things ambiguous, it’s being reported that Teefey welcomed a baby girl to the family yesterday. The most clear indication that Selena is a big sis now was a tweet from her famous friend Demi Lovato:

Mandy suffered a miscarriage in 2011 according to E!, which caused Selena to miss a scheduled appearance to support her mom during the difficult time. Gomez has always been close to her mom and is grateful for all the sacrifices she made to allow her to pursue her dreams and to become a success.
“I remember my mom would run out of gas all of the time and we’d sit there and have to go through the car and get quarters and help her get gas because she never liked to ask my grandparents for money. She was really strong around me. Having me at 16 had to have been a big responsibility. My mom gave up everything for me, had three jobs, supported me sacrificed her life for me.”
If reporter Lovato is accurate then we say congrats to Mandy, Selena and the whole family on the exciting news!
