RHOBH’s Brandi Glanville: I wanted to be molested as a child
Although her off-the-wall comments are regularly criticized by co-stars, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Brandi Glanville hit a new low this week when she said she “wanted to be molested as a child.”
The mother-of-two made the ridiculous comment during the Jan. 14 episode of Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, her weekly podcast. Guests included Jim Florentine, who previously spoke about his childhood molestation. Apparently Brandi thought it appropriate to crassly broach that subject…
“I was actually stalking you online, Jim, and we have something in common! I, too, wanted to be molested as a child and was passed up. My sister got felt up by a principal, and nothing for me. He didn’t even look at me sideways.”
Jim, a comedian, played along by asking whether she felt hurt by that.
“Yeah. Now looking back, I’m super-bummed. I was thinking, ‘All this and nothing?’ Super-hot and they passed me up!”
Although Brandi and her guests joked about it, a spokesperson for the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN) told Fox News molestation is no laughing matter.
“As any good parent would know, sexual abuse of children is nothing to laugh about,” said Katherine Hull, a representative for RAINN. “Sexual abuse should never be fodder for comedy.”
Some of Brandi’s self-described fans tweeted directly at her, demanding an explanation. One commented, “I defend u all the way but the molestation thing is BEYOND disturbing and truly going way to far I am sad that u said this.”
Brandi responded today with apologies — that seem more like excuses…

Representatives for Bravo haven’t commented, although some are calling for the network to reprimand the reality star.
