POLICE Parents let 6 Bible-believing brothers sexually assault sister for years
Six home-schooled brothers ranging in age from 18 to 27 have been arrested as police allege they sexually abused their younger sister for nearly a decade. The sibling’s parents were also arrested as they are believed to have known about the abuse and did nothing.
The Jackson brothers, along with their parents John and Nita Jackson, were all arrested last week following a year-long investigation. The abuse is said to have come to light after one of the brothers confessed to a pastor in 2012 that he “had sinned.” This pastor advised the young man to contact the authorities.
In the years that the abuse is alleged to have taken place, the Jacksons lived in an older home in Perquimans County, North Carolina. When police were made aware of the alleged tragedies an investigation was launched. They attempted to interview the young girl but her parents would not allow it. These events prompted the Jacksons to move to Colorado, a decision which ultimately provided the break law enforcement needed to move forward with formal charges.
Sheriff Eric Tilley told WTKR, “Their leaving to Colorado sealed their fate because ultimately Social Services stepped in and got the girl out of the home (currently age 16). Then we were able to do an interview. So if that hadn’t happened, we probably wouldn’t be making the arrest we made now.”
Tilley also voiced his frustration because he believes that the parents hold more responsibility than the boys but, by law, will face lesser charges. “Personally, I lay the blame on the parents, and their charges are less than what the boys are going to get. It’s their responsibilities to raise those kids and somewhere along the line, they failed,” the Sheriff stated adding, “But that’s one thing… These kids, they do have a belief in the Bible. They knew it was wrong and they had to get it out.”
Here are the breakdown of charges against the Jackson Family – all the brothers are being held on $150,000 bond while the parents were released after making their $15,000 bond:
Nita Jackson (54): Felony child neglect.
John Jackson (65): Felony child neglect.
Eric Jackson (27): 3 counts of rape of a child, 3 counts of rape of a child less than 6 years old and 3 counts of sex offense.

Nathaniel Jackson (21): 3 counts of statutory rape and 2 counts of 1st degree sexual offense.
