PHOTOS VIDEO Fixer Upper celebrates Waco-style with Silobration 2016
The Fixer Upper Silobration 2016 is here–and it looks like things were even bigger, happier, and silo-ier than the first time around! Chip and Joanna Gaines have turned their celebration of all things Waco into an annual shindig, complete with food festival and massive outdoor concert, all of it splashed across the backdrop of the beautiful Magnolia Silos downtown. Of course, the party really got started last year, when the Gainses threw the first Silobration in honor of the Magnolia Silos’ grand opening. The show was already a phenomenon, and the party certainly didn’t lack for high energy (Chip rappelling down the side of one of the silos, anyone?) but it looks like Silobration 2016 blew the first installation away.
If you were there, congrats! You get to spend the next few days regaling your friends with tales of Fixer Upper wonder (and inspiring jealousy all the while). If not, don’t worry: we’ve got you covered with a mother lode of social media updates from the big event, starting with Joanna and Chip themselves! Before diving in, make sure you check out Joanna’s heartfelt thank you to Fixer Upper‘s many fans in this first post. It’s clear she and Chip are nothing but grateful for all the support they’ve received over the past few years, and humbled by how far they’ve come:
The show’s crew also got in on the fun–and even welcomed a (very) new fan into the fold! (Congrats Rob!)
As always, musical guests Johnnyswim provided a bevy of updates:
The official Magnolia Market account shared a nice little overview of the festival & vendor areas:
But, as always, it’s the fans who make the show–so here’s just a small sampling of the literally thousands of great shots shared up by some of the many, many, many attendees!
Phew! If this year’s throwdown was any indication, Silobration 2017 will need to be a week-long affair. #FixerUpperMarathon
HGTV still hasn’t announced the premiere date for Fixer Upper Season 4. Given that Chip and Joanna’s book and magazine have both just been released, though, it seems likely that we’ll hear about new episodes very soon.
