PHOTOS Sprinklers flood Golden Globes red carpet
The Golden Globes red carpet is currently occupied by the biggest names in Hollywood. Just a few hours before, the Beverly Hills Fire Department was rushing to clean up the massive mess caused by sprinklers.
Career Chick‘s Stephanie Stanton tweeted a photo of the sprinklers in action…
E! News‘ Ryan Seacrest said the aftermath “could be bad for long gowns.” Hollywood Reporter added the BHFD was using air blowers and wet vacuums to clean up the mess. Still, there appeared to be some serious damage to the red carpet.
Despite the BHFD’s best efforts, multiple red carpet sources say there were still “large puddles” when celebrities arrived. Staying positive, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association issued a statement about the incident: “As some of the biggest names in entertainment are scheduled to attend the Golden Globe Awards tonight, we wanted to give the carpet one last wash before it opened.”
