PHOTOS New pregnant Maci Bookout baby bump pics, video interview
Maci Bookout? More like Maci Baby Bumpout! The pregnant Teen Mom OG star proudly showed off her growing belly in two new photos that just popped up online.
It’s unclear where the photos are from, but I suppose their provenance isn’t really all that important, right? 😉 (Click here to see the previous batch of Maci baby bump pics we posted.)
Meanwhile, Maci continues her busy, busy schedule as she took part in a different photo shoot this weekend, presumably for The Candie’s Foundation, whom Maci has worked with numerous times before in an effort to raise awareness about the consequences of teen pregnancy. Here’s a photo Maci posted on Instagram headed to the shoot:
Maci spoke at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington last week, and she sat down with Teal TV prior to that for a video interview in which she talked about being pregnant again and returning to reality television:
In the clip Maci is asked what the experience has been like filming Teen Mom again after taking such a long break. “It’s a lot, actually,” Maci says. “We took two years off, so filming again is kind of getting used to the whole experience again.”
Maci then reveals that although she is excited to be back on MTV, her feelings are a bit mixed. “As far as the show coming back on TV,” she says, “I felt like I had just kind of gotten back to normal life, and as soon as I got back to normal, I felt like it’s all going to start over again. So, it’s kind of bittersweet. I mean, I’m really excited, and excited for the fans to see the show, but it’s like jumping back into the craziness, too.” Not wanting to sound ungrateful, Maci iterates, “But I’m excited.”
As you probably know, Maci is pregnant again with a little girl she and dad Taylor McKinney plan on naming Jayde Carter McKinney. Interviewer Mikaela Fleming asks Maci, “Is Bentley excited to be a big brother?”
“Oh yes, he is very excited!” Maci replies with a big smile. “I am expecting a little girl in June, so that’s another reason why I’m really tired. [laughs] But he is really, really excited and I think he’s going to be a great big brother.”
However, Maci explains that part of why Bentley is so excited is that he has some rather unrealistic expectations of how having a new baby sister works. “We’re kind of in the phase right now where I have to prepare him because I think he thinks that she’s going to come out as a five year old,” Maci explains. “I don’t think he’s fully grasped the concept that she’s going to be, like, this big [gestures with her hands] and all she’s going to do is cry and eat for the first six months. So we’re trying to get him used to the idea.”
Mikaela has one more question, so she swings for the fences. “What is one of the most important things you learned from being a Teen Mom?” she asks.
“There are a few things,” Maci says. “I’d say probably the most important is that, even though Bentley is my number one priority and being a mom is what my job is, really learning to love myself and to put myself [to] the top of my priority list too. Going through some of the relationships and stuff that I’ve been through, and being a single mom, you really have to love yourself in order to be the best you can be in all aspects of your life. So, I definitely think making sure that you keep yourself a priority is probably one of the most important things I’ve learned.”
You can see more of Maci Bookout and Bentley (although maybe not as much Bentley as you’d like) when Teen Mom OG premieres on March 23 at 10/9c on MTV!
