PHOTOS JWoww looking… impeccably exquisite?!?

Wh-wh-wh-what?!? Jersey Shore‘s Jenni “JWoww” Farley took to the streets of Manhattan today looking almost unrecognizable in a tastefully stylish outfit that could have been stolen right off the back of Audrey Hepburn!

Don’t get me wrong – the dress still has the JWoww spirit thanks to a chest-revealing neckline and a thick band of black lace-like leaves around the waist, but I think even Tim Gunn and Michael Kors would have to pause and nod their heads in approval of this makeover!

I’m afraid this another sign that we are at the beginning of the end of the Jersey Shore phenomenon. First we had Pauly D deflating his blowout for GQ and now JWoww is wearing an outfit made entirely of unripped fabric. I’m happy that these men and women are rising above their hardcore Jerseyness and are able to live out a real-life Pygmalion, but I have to admit there is a part of me shedding a tear of sadness. I’m sure it won’t be long before we drop the nicknames “JWoww” and “Pauly D” altogether and are left with Jenni and Paul. ***SIGH***

That being said, JWoww looks fantastic! She looks like she’s made the transition from Jersey Shore to The Hills, and I don’t mean that in a bad way! I should start a pool right now – which magazine will Jenni grace the cover of first? Vogue? Elle? Marie Clair? (Playboy doesn’t count!)

PHOTOS Jersey Shore’s Mike Sorrentino ‘The Situation’ Myspace and high school yearbook pictures

Clearly the American television viewing audience was completely unprepared for the rawness of MTV’s Jersey Shore. Guido fever has swept through the media and the nation and though everything from rationality and moral decency have been tried as a vaccine, nothing seems to be working.

Spearheading the Giuseppidemic is self-proclaimed Guidette Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, whose wild antics and audacious personality led to the infamous “Snooki punch” cleverly used by MTV in commercials for the show, and then censored from the actual episode before airing.

Running a close second to Snooki is the Guidoest of the Guidos, the abtastic Italian Stallion known simply as “The Situation.” I’ve dug up some older photos of Mike, including a photo from his high school yearbook! (Yes, he always had those abs.)
