The most influential musician of the last 100 years was on hand to help close out the Byron Bay Bluesfest in New South Wales, Australia as 69-year-old legend Bob Dylan rocked the Mojo stage Monday and Tuesday.
According to numerous reviews online the crowd was a bit perturbed by Bob’s decision to not allow video of his performance to be shown on the venue’s big screens, but that’s part and parcel with the always-quirky (and obsessively private) Bob. For those of you who missed out on catching a glimpse of his marvelous countenance we have some pictures from the final show on Tuesday, April 26! (Click photos for larger images)
Dylan kicked off both sets with his badass “stop being influenced by fools” tune “Gonna Change My Way Of Thinking” from the philosoptalyptic 1979 album Slow Train Coming, then scrambled up the middle part of the set (aside from the consistent “Tangled Up In Blue”/”Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum” combo) before finishing out with the same seven songs, including the “Like A Rolling Stone”/”Forever Young” encore tandem.
