Prince George certainly seems to have the hang of the whole “British Royal” thing. Despite a 30-hour flight from London to Wellington, New Zealand, the 8-month-old future king looked a cute as could be while arriving for the state trip with his parents.
The airplane exit marked Prince George’s second public appearance since his birth. It is also the baby’s first state trip — and apparently required special permission before two heirs to the throne could travel in a plane together.
Prince George was dressed in a cute, cream-colored cardigan and shorts. Without the sweater, the outfit would have been very similar to one Prince William wore during his first trip to the region in 1983.
The three-week tour is also Duchess Kate’s first time to the region. She wore a beautiful red coat and pillbox hat, which are reminiscent of an outfit Princess Diana wore almost exactly 30 years ago. She and her husband of nearly three years later tended to state duties while a nanny looked after Prince George.
