PHOTOS Rita Ora gets huge Alberto Vargas pin-up tattoo from Bang Bang
Singer Rita Ora and model bestie Cara Delevingne had a girls’ night out in New York City Wednesday night during which the two young beauties both got their bodies enhanced with some artwork from the biggest name in celebrity tattooage, Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy. Cara (aka Harry Styles’ new gf) got her mother’s name Pandora done in script across her left bicep, but Rita went a bit further with a large and extremely detailed rib cage tattoo of pinup artist Alberto Vargas‘ famous painting “Memories of Olive.”
Here’s a photo of Rita Ora’s pin-up ribcage tattoo tweeted by Rita Ora Street Team:

And here’s a slightly censored version of the original 1920 painting by Alberto Vargas, featuring star of the Ziegfeld Follies (as well as the much racier Ziegfeld Frolics) and actress Olive Thomas:
Bang Bang told E! News that the tattoo took five hours to complete and he says it is “the most detailed tattoo” he has done for a celebrity yet, which is pretty amazing considering the intricate work he has done for such stars as Rihanna, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber!
“Tattoos to me are really kind of important,” Rita has said in the past. “I think they’re just beautiful. I love tattoos. I think they’re another form of art.”
The Vargas pin-up tattoo joins a growing list of other tattoos for Rita Ora that includes the Greek goddess of love Aphrodite on her left bicep, her best friend’s birthday on her arm, a Sagittarius sign behind her right ear, an “R” for Rita behind her left ear, “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none” written on her lower left side and back, the words “promise,” “hope,” and “love” on the inside of her fingers, a small anchor on her wrist, her sister Elena Ora’s name in Hindi on her lower right bicep, her brother’s name on her right forearm, “Love Me” on the inside of her right wrist, wings on her right ankle and a large dove on the back of her neck.
Bang Bang also reveals that Cara Delevingne held Rita’s hand while she got her tattoo, but he says Rita was “really tough” and did “great” throughout the process.
And speaking of Cara, here is a photo of her tattoo of her mother’s name Pandora written in script across her left bicep:
The photo was shared by Bang Bang on Twitter/instagram along with the words, “@caradelevingne your so wonderful to tattoo.” Bang Bang also said Cara aready has plans to come back to the shop for more ink. “She really wanted me to tattoo her favorite piece of food,” he says, “but I told her to wait a bit, just to see if she still wants it.”
And if you’re looking to get inked by Bang Bang yourself, perhaps the easiest way to get to the front of a very long line is to bid on one of his charity auctions at CharityBuzz.com featuring framed kisses and autographs by numerous celebrities (including Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne, Justin Bieber, Adele, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Rihanna and more!) with the auction winner having the option of having the kiss and signature inked on him or her by Bang Bang at his NYC studio! Pretty awesome, huh?!? You better hurry though, because auctions end September 18!
