News4Jax is reporting that the father of missing 6-year-old Haliegh Cummings is head towards divorce with his wife of five months, Misty Croslin. Donald married 17-year-old Misty five weeks after his young daughter went missing. Haliegh disappeared while Misty was babysitting Haliegh and Haliegh’s younger brother while their father was working.
Donald Cumming’s attorney, Brandon Beardsley, made this statement about the divorce:
“With all the circumstances that surrounded the obvious — with Haleigh missing — have been a stress and burden on their marriage. In my opinion, they need to do something different and move on with their lives.”
Misty’s story of the night Haleigh went missing has changed over time, and she’s failed at least one polygraph test. Misty’s mother, Lisa Croslin, who’s recently been arrested on forgery charges, has told CNN that she believes that Misty is withholding information about the case. Donald believes that Misty isn’t harboring information about Haleigh’s whereabouts, and claims that besides the stress of the situation, Haleigh’s disappearances has nothing to do with the impending divorce.
