Millionaire Matchmaker‘s Patti Stanger leaves Bravo for WE tv
It’s a fresh start for Patti Stanger! After starring in The Millionaire Matchmaker on Bravo for eight seasons, she is heading over to WE tv for new opportunities.
“WE tv is on the cutting edge of reality tv and we’re about to blow the roof off of relationship programming,” Patti said in a press release, adding she is “excited to join a new home that fits with me creatively and personally.”
WE tv president Marc Juris called Patti “the perfect personality” for the channel and said he’s looking forward to her contributions. She will be the executive producer on a forthcoming series and will executive produce a second project that WE tv will pilot later this year.
When Patti announced her departure from Bravo in July, the network tweeted a nice message to her. Behind the scenes, there was reportedly a lot of conflict–particularly between Patti and Andy Cohen.
“She was impossible to work with–demanding and horribly difficult,” an insider said at the time. “Plus the show was expensive to produce, and it never did well in the ratings.”
