Kyle Chrisley records song about dad Todd Chrisley with wife Alexus

Lexi Kyle Chrisley Shame On You aong about Todd Chrisley

There have been a lot of angry words exchanged between Chrisley Knows Best patriarch Todd Chrisley and his estranged son Kyle Chrisley over the last couple of years, but did you know some of those angry words were set to music?

Kyle and his now-wife Alexus Whilby-Chrisley formed a musical duo under the name Lexi & Kyle Chrisley, and one of the first songs released by the duo is an obvious jab at Todd Chrisley, titled “Shame On You.” Give it a listen:

“Now you know, some people, they live a lie,” Kyle says (not really singing) at the beginning. “Some truths just run away and hide,” he continues. “What makes you think that I can’t see that you just tried to pull a damn fast one over on me?”

Kyle moves on to the next verse:

Now you know they say you’re the devil in disguise
The fire of Hell I can see burning in your eyes
We weren’t slow enough to be fooled by your lies
So we cast you out. We don’t like your kind

At this point Alexus comes in, and she actually does sing her lines, including: “You tried to be our closest friend, but you pretend. I see that you’re our biggest enemy.”

Cue the chorus:

Thinkin’ we’d be stuck forever
All you do is make believe
Now we know to trust you never
Screw me once, shame on you
Screw me twice, shame on me

The song begins to fade out as Kyle talks us home. “So you see, this is how it’s gonna be. You fool me once, shame on you. You’ll never get a chance to fool me twice.”
