Kordell Stewart: Porsha Williams lying about abuse, prays she finds peace
Kordell Stewart is speaking out again about the allegations of abuse levied against him by Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Porsha Williams.
Via Access Hollywood, Williams stated that she had suffered physical and mental abuse at the hands of her ex-husband and former NFL player. When asked why she didn’t notify authorities she said, “I honestly thought after each situation I would change this or I would change that… It doesn’t work like that. I’m still realizing now that a lot of what happened, it wasn’t my fault. I blamed myself a lot for that.”
At the time Kordell simply stated that “I’ve never abused. Never put my hands on her. Never.” Now he’s opening up a little more about his side of the story and why he believes Williams is lashing out at him.
“My heart goes out to Porsha. It is obvious she is really struggling in many different ways. I wish her well. The most recent untruths by Porsha is her attempt to keep her name in the bright lights. Her current behavior has nothing to do with me.”
Stewart went on to express sympathy for his ex:
“Her latest claims of physical and mental abuse are false. I completely deny all accusations. It’s ludicrous. I’m focused on being a single dad and raising my son. I’m truly at peace. I hope and pray she can find the same.”
In the Access Hollywood interview with Williams she said her lawyers confronted Stewart about the abuse allegations during their divorce proceedings and that he “didn’t deny it.”
