Kim Zolciak’s spin-off Bravo show to be titled “Don’t Be Tardy For the Wedding”

It was announced months ago that The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak would be getting her own spin-off reality series on Bravo with the assumption that her wedding to Kroy Biermann would play a major part in it. That assumption was confirmed today as Bravo and NBCUniversal announced that Kim’s “docu-series” will be titled Don’t Be Tardy For the Wedding, a playful spin on Zolciak’s kitschy Top Ten dance tune “Don’t Be Tardy For the Party.”

You have to love a network that doesn’t take itself too seriously! (Why is it that I think Andy Cohen played a part in titling this show?) The show will be thirty minutes an episode, and according to the official press release, “will follow the adventures of Kim preparing for her wedding on the lucky date of 11/11/11. With less than 2 months to plan, she enlists celebrity event planner Colin Cowie to help design a dream wedding in her brand new multi-million dollar home. The pressure is on as Kim rushes to find a dress, lose remaining baby weight and cosmetically enhance trouble spots. With the date quickly approaching, problems mount– her invitation is leaked to the press and her mother refuses to attend the wedding. Still, Kim is determined to marry Kroy and won’t let anything ruin her perfect day.”

“I am so excited to give an up close and personal look at the next chapter in my life.” Kim states in the release. “My life has turned into a true Cinderella story and to watch the pieces unfold is going to be great! I can’t wait to share with all of you!”

The press release didn’t include a premiere date, but I’m guessing it will line up with the end of the current season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. I imagine RHOA setting the table for Kim’s show by ending with Kroy’s proposal.
