RHOA Kenya Moore shares post-pregnancy photos after 3-hour C-section

It has been just over three weeks since The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore welcomed her first child, daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly, via cesarean section on November 4. The 47-year-old former Miss USA took to Instagram earlier today to share photos of her “SnapBack” post-pregnancy tummy as she also revealed that her c-section took three hours due to complications from fibroids.

“The SnapBack is real! ????LOL,” Kenya captioned a gallery of three mirror selfies with her midsection exposed — two in profile, and one from the front. “I still can’t work out yet but I feel much better,” she continues. “I was cut twice during my 3 hr Csection but I made it!”

Despite the complications during her delivery, Kenya remains confident that she will recover. “I’ve always been healthy and worked out my entire life,” she explains, before humbly admitting: “whatever my body will do I’m not rushing it.”

“It feels good to start to feel myself again,” Kenya continues. She concludes by declaring that her daughter Brooklyn “is worth every battlescar!” and adding the hash tags #myangel, #miraclebaby, #motherhood, #love, and #family.

Some of Kenya’s Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars responded in the comments section, including Prosha Williams, who is currently pregnant with her first child:

KANDI BURRUSS: That SnapBack game is serious! ???

KENYA: trying to be like u ❤️

PORSHA WILLIAMS: ??‍♀️?

KENYA: ??

CYNTHIA BAILEY: Ok snap back! U look amazing mama! I knew u would tho❤️❤️❤️

KENYA: dreaming of working out now! Hehehe

CYNTHIA BAILEY: Brooklyn is EVERYTHING???

KENYA: she’s opening her eyes more and more Aunty

Kenya also responded to commenters she hasn’t shared Bravo screen time with, answering questions (and accusations) about her c-section, alleged plastic surgery, and her recovery process.

COMMENT: looking fabulous! Are you nursing?? I know that helps with shrinking?

KENYA: I am but it only burns 300-700 a day! I’m eating so much more. But it’s good for the baby so I’m committed

COMMENT: Tag your trainer

KENYA: I don’t have a trainer I can’t work out yet 3 more weeks

NISCHELLE TURNER: whenever you’re ready to get back in the swing of things let me know! I have spots in ATL and NY that I love! We’ll go!

KENYA: need to get to your yoga level

COMMENT: Good for you! I would of gotten a tummy tuck too, after having a C section

KENYA: no plastic surgery no tummy tuck. No surgeon would perform a tummy tuck on a woman 3 weeks after birth. Just stop it

COMMENT: People are accusing you of surgery clearly don’t understand the power of nursing. My stomach snapped back two weeks after having my baby (natural birth). I couldn’t afford surgery. My tummy was much darker than the rest of my body. It was back to normal by the third month.

KENYA: yes my tummy is darker too. My doctor said it will go back to natural color as well

COMMENT: ooh did they give you the compression belt? After my last section they have it to me and I felt like i was back to normal within the month. Not to mention it helped the healing so much better. Less pain. Blessing to your little one and wonderful growing family

KENYA: yes my doctor gave me a compression belt.

COMMENT: Giiirl!! I don’t know hunny. Maybe she had complications but good lawd! I’ve never heard of a regular uncomplicated c-section being 3 hours or being cut twice. But who knows?

KENYA: yes I had complications from my fibroids. They couldn’t get her out. Was very scary I lost a lot of blood and was cut twice

Congratulations again to Kenya and her husband Marc Daly! It’s great to see her recovering after what sounds like a very scary delivery!
