Kate Hudson is engaged to Matt Bellamy of Muse

Kate Hudson dropped some unexpected knowledge on Matt Lauer this morning by revealing that she is now engaged!  Her soon-to-be husband is boyfriend and baby-daddy Matt Bellamy.  The two have been dating for almost a year.  Hudson stated:

“Yes, I’m engaged.  It happened about a week ago. I didn’t want to make an announcement, but you’re the first to know!”

The vivacious 32-year-old star was on Today to promote her new film Something Borrowed but Lauer got himself distracted by Kate’s serious ring-bling.  Now Matt Bellamy is not only the lead singer of Muse but is well on his way to marrying his muse.  Good luck to Kate and Matt!
