This really happened! Ryan Seacrest set Justin Bieber’s mom Pattie Mallette up on a date with The Bachelor host Chris Harrison.

After their date Tuesday night, Pattie and Ryan chatted about it on Twitter. Pattie tweeted “Had a great night w @chrisbharrison! Thanks @ryanseacrest for setting it up.”

And Chris replied “Great night & show.”

Seacrest had to ask “Does he get a rose?”

No word yet if they’ll be going on more dates, but what what he definitely didn’t get was a night in the fantasy suite. Pattie says she hasn’t had sex since the 90s, and vows to safe herself until marriage.

Pattie recently published her memoir Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom where she detailed struggles with abuse, being a teen parent with an absentee baby’s father, addiction, and a suicide attempt.

So Chris Harrison might be Justin Bieber’s stepdad. How weird would that be?

Pattie Mallette’s tell-all book “Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom”

Christian publisher Revell announced Tuesday that they have signed Justin Bieber’s mom Pattie Mallette to write Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom due out September 18. In addition to sharing what it was like raising Justin, the book will also include a detailed account of Mallette’s life prior to getting pregnant at 18 – a troubled life that included youthful abuse, trauma, addiction, and a suicide attempt at 17.
