Jon Gosselin to file for primary custody of sextuplets
For the past few months, there have been plenty of fighting words exchanged between Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin. Now, Jon is kicking the bitter feud up a notch with a serious threat…
“I’m going to file for an emergency petition for contempt,” Jon told In Touch. “The next step is to fight for custody.”
Jon explained he hit the boiling point when Kate took twins Mady and Cara Gosselin to New York for highly public (and highly awkward) interviews with Today and The View. He claimed this violated the custody agreement because Kate didn’t give him the option to watch their sextuplets while she left the state.
He said an emergency petition — although drastic — is “the only way I can protect the younger six.” He added the 9-year-olds say they want to live with him.
“Regardless of what the judge decides, I have to at least try,” said Jon. “I just wish Kate would wake up, realize how she’s behaving — and change her ways.”
Fortunately for Kate, Jon said he needs to save up money before filing the legal paperwork. That should give her some time to prepare her own case.
Worth noting: Jon didn’t mention twins Mady and Cara — possibly because the teen girls are refusing to talk to him.
“They haven’t seen him in nine months. They’re really hurt because they feel like he sold them. They don’t want anything to do with him,” a source said last week. “The younger kids still see him because they don’t realize yet what he’s done.”
