Jana Oosthuizen vies for cutest baby of 2010

Virtual unknown Louis Oosthuizen destroyed the field at the British Open played at the home of golf, St. Andrews in Scotland over the weekend.  His calm demeanor and precise driving stole the show up until he made his final put on 18 securing a 7 stroke victory, this is when his baby daughter Jana made the scene and turned all eyes on her wonderful little adorableness.

The odds of Oosthuizen winning the Open before the tournament started was somewhere around a million to one.  The odds of baby Jana being the cutest baby of 2010 is way better.  Here is Louis and his Wife’s (Nel-Mare) seven-month-old just hanging out with Mom and Dad on the most historically important finishing hole in golf.  I bet she’s wondering how much milk the Claret jug can hold.

The Oosthuizen family hails from South Africa and in true storybook fashion, the underdog Louis won the Open on Nelson Mandela’s birthday.  When Oosthuizen delivered his speech as the “champion golfer of the year,” behind the Royal and Ancient clubhouse, he gave special thanks to Mandela, South Africa’s former president, and wished him a happy 92nd birthday.

“What he’s done for our country is unbelievable,” Oosthuizen said. “So happy birthday to him once again.”

Here are few more photos of little Jana O wondering what all the fuss is about:

Congratulations to Louis on having a world class adorable baby girl and for winning the most prestigious championship in golf on the most revered course in the game.
