Eli Manning and his wife Abby announced some very exciting news earlier today — they are expecting a baby. The New York Giants quarterback and his wife of nearly five years are already parents to two-year-old daughter Ava Frances and are thrilled to be expanding their family once again.
“She’s due in June,” Manning revealed to Us Weekly at the Samsung TV 2013 launch event. “We’re all very excited.”
As for Ava, Manning says she’s “talking a lot” and “loves to watch Dora The Explorer.” In addition to becoming a big sister very soon, Ava also has another reason to celebrate. “Well, it’s her birthday tomorrow!” Manning announced. “We’re doing a party Easter weekend. We have all our family in town and do a little party.”
The Mannings haven’t yet revealed the gender of their baby but one thing is for sure — the baby will have plenty of playmates. In addition to big sis Ava, the Mannings’ new addition will also have twin cousins. Eli’s brother Peyton and his wife Ashley welcomed twins Marshall and Mosely just days after Ava was born.
Manning and his wife Abby have been together since their college days at Ole Miss. In 2007, Manning proposed and one year later, they wed in a private ceremony in Mexico. The couple currently resides in Hoboken, New Jersey.
