MUG SHOTS Brent Bruns II was addicted to pills and arrested often prior to Doomsday Castle
National Geographic Channel’s new hit reality series Doomsday Castle is more than just a show about a man building a castle in the Carolina mountains in preparation for an EMP explosion that could cause civilization as we know it to come crashing down, creating a chaotic, post-apocalyptic neo-Medieval world where survival is based on resourcefulness and the size of your walls. (Although that’s a pretty damn big part of it!) The show is also about a father bringing his family together in a therapeutic, retreat-like setting in hopes that they will not only learn to get along better, but also use the experience to find focus and enhance the experiences in their lives outside the castle walls.
Nobody needed the “therapeutic” experience more than the self-described “black sheep of the family” Brenton Bruns II (photos above), who was struggling with a pill addiction when his dad invited him to work on the castle. “You’ll see the first few episodes I look pretty bad,” Brenton (who goes by “Brent”) tells Bay News 9 in his hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida. “It really took separating me from this location, from the party friends that I had, and going up to that mountain to that castle to kinda snap me out of a three year problem,” he says.

Prior to his three-year drug problem, Brent apparently had lots of other problems judging from the numerous mug shot photos we found of him taken from 2005-2009!
