Claim: Mick Jagger had affairs with David Bowie, Angelina Jolie, Carla Bruni

Mick Jagger bisexual with David Bowie

Rocker Mick Jagger had a long, unfaithful relationship with second wife Jerry Hall, but according to a new salacious biography by Christopher Anderson, he was even more adulterous than previously thought. Although his affairs with many women are well known, this new book claims Jerry found Mick in bed with David Bowie, Angelina Jolie, and Carla Bruni!

David Bowie

In a excerpt to Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger published this morning in The New York Daily News, Christopher Anderson writes that Mick kept his affection for the openly bisexual Bowie a secret from the public (Bowie shared an open marriage with his also bisexual wife Angie, but according to Anderson, she disapproved of Bowie’s fascination with Mick.) For a while Jagger and Bowie reportedly spent a lot of time together without their wives, Bowie calling Mick “Jagger Mike.”

Anderson talked with Angie Bowie about the affair, and she recalled one morning when she caught the two men sleeping in bed together, and then made them breakfast.

“It was so obvious, in fact, that I never even considered the possibility that they hadn’t been screwing. Even though I cared, there wasn’t much I was going to do about it . . . Maybe,” she tried to joke later, “they were writing ‘Angie’ when I caught them in bed together.”

In fact, Angie wanted Mick for herself: “I wish it had been me with Mick,” she said. “I’ve always thought Mick must be a wild man in bed. He is a very sexy guy.” Although Angie didn’t actually catch Bowie and Jagger in the act, Ava Cherry, Bowie’s backup singer, reportedly did. According to the book, she told a friend “Mick and David were really sexually obsessed with each other. Even though I was in bed with them many times, I ended up just watching them have sex.”

Angelina Jolie

Mick reportedly also had a brief fling with a young Angelina Jolie back when she was still married to first husband Jonny Lee Miller, and he was married to Jerry Hall (this info came out first in 2010.) Jolie was cast in the music video for the 1997 Rolling Stones song “Anybody Seen My Baby?” and had just played Gia, and according to the book, was emotionally drained and addicted to heroin. Although Jolie was married, the book claims that her mom Marcheline Bertrand wanted her to date Mick.

“Marche loved Mick for Angie,” said Marcheline’s friend Lauren Taines. “She felt that he could teach her about fame and how to handle it.”

At the time Angelina was battling depression, and even at one point allegedly hired a contract killer to help her commit suicide, and she also spurned Mick’s pursuits. He is said to have left numerous messages with Angelina begging her to call him.

Angelina was allegedly juggling Jagger with a slew of Hollywood stars including her future second husband Billy Bob Thornton, Nicholas Cage, and Russell Crowe. The rising actress allegedly pulled a prank on Jagger by telling her mom they she and Jagger were gonna get hitched. When Marcheline called Jagger to congratulate, he was like “what?”

They also supposedly had a second fling in 2003 when Jagger was dating L’Wren Scott.

Carla Bruni

Mick even had a long affair with former president of France’s Nicolas Sarkozy’s wife Carla Bruni back when she was 23-years-old and dating Eric Clapton. Mick had previously (and unsuccessfully) tried to steal Eric’s ex-wife Patti, and Eric says he begged Mick to not go after Carla. But Mick didn’t listen, and pursued Carla, but then backed off when his wife Jerry Hall apologized for being jealous and tried to win him back. The games continued when Carla tried, successfully, to make Mick jealous by stealing Donald Trump from Marla Maples. Here’s a reported quoted from Trump:

Carla’s “constant calling became a total pain in the ass,” Trump said. “She was trying to get me to leave Marla, something I had in mind anyway, and she was using every psychological trick in the book. In the end, Carla became a woman who is very difficult to even like.”

It worked, and Mick left Jerry’s bedside the morning after she gave birth to their daughter Georgia Jagger to jet off to Thailand to see Carla!

Not sure how true all of this is, but it’s certainly believable, and seems to be very credibly sourced (direct quotes from people like Angie Bowie and Jerry Hall.) Mick’s definitely set the bar high for the rock star lifestyle. Jagger’s nine-year marriage to Jerry Hall was actually annulled in 1999 after all of these antics. Now Jerry says she feels sorry for Mick: “I feel sorry for Mick,” she said. “Sexual promiscuity just leads to chaos, and you have to clear it up. I wish he’d find happiness, but I’m not churning inside about it.”
