Why Born This Way was the best new reality show of 2015, A&E announces Season 2

There are a myriad of ingredients that can make for a successful reality show recipe, and I have to confess I am not always a "healthy eater" when it comes to what I consume. But, when I tune into new episodes of A&E's Born This Way, I know I am getting my recommended weekly allowance of two of the most important (and most uncommon) ingredients: sincerity and heart. For that reason, Born This Way is our choice for the best new reality show of 2015.

Megan Bomgaars, star of ‘Don’t Limit Me’ video, cast for Born This Way

In the first episode of A&E's docu-series Born This Way, Megan Bomgaars explains that she's a "very typical 22-year-old girl." That's a pretty humble self-evaluation for a young woman who's a sought after public speaker; a fashion model; a recipient of the 2008 National High School Spirit of Sport Award; an entrepreneur; and the star of a viral video that has helped spread awareness and the message of inclusion to hundreds of thousands of people. See her inspiring "Don't Limit Me" viral video, and catch a preview for Born This Way, a show that "follows the lives of seven young adults born with Down syndrome as they pursue their passions and lifelong dreams." The show premieres Tuesday, December 8.
