Brandi Glanville’s ‘gaygent’ Michael Broussard responds to nickname controversy
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville is no stranger to stirring up controversy, and for more than a year now she’s been taking heat for referring to her book agent Michael Broussard (seen with Brandi above) as her “gaygent” — a term some believe to be offensive. Brandi has always defended her use of the term, and tweeted as far back as late 2103 that Michael “chooses his own name!” adding, “He asked me to refer to him as ‘gaygent,’ so please F—K OFF.”
I LOVE my book "Gaygent" Michael Broussard- he is an agent but also a friend, my 3rd child my husband and the best human being I know

It seems some fans didn’t oblige Brandi’s request and have continued to criticize her for continuing ot use the term, and earlier today she posted an email from Michael on Facebook in which he clearly states his opinion of his moniker:
Hey guys, I know all my fans are the cool enlightened types, but I still wanted to share parts of an email from my close friend and “Gaygent”, Michael. Michael is a very important part of my life and also my fabulously cool publishing agent.
Michael’s words:
“I love when you call me GAYGENT. It’s funny to me because I have a sense of humor. It’s no more offensive than the term GAY MARRIAGE.
Your detractors say,” Why can’t she just call him her agent. I say why can’t we call GAY MARRIAGE ….just marriage….between two people, that aren’t allowed to be married in some states because of their gender.
Or, because of same gender.Laughter takes the stress out of life. Gaygent is funny to ME and makes me laugh…..Especially the people that comment on it being wrong.
And if anyone has problem….with it….it would be me. When I see “GAYGENT” on social media I giggle…Oh? Is giggle Gay? Better giggle than jiggle if you are gay.
Thanks again for today. I know you did it for me.
XXOOO…
Yours Truly-
Gaygent”
Michael’s sentiments in the email seem to be backed up by the fact that he has been photographed wearing a “GAYGENT” shirt while out and about with Brandi:
My love and fab book agent is. Running around Venice with the T-shirt the boys and I made him on pic.twitter.com/yAr1qLT0u8

So what do you think? Is the term “gaygent” offensive? Does the fact that Michael seems to really like the nickname affect your opinion?
While you ponder that over, here’s a little spoiler on what you can expect to see from Brandi on the rest of this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which is essentially a WHOLE LOTTA drunk Brandi drama!
FYI I will be not sober in about 1 and a half more episodes on #RHOBH out of the 10 or so we have left- that's it deal with it

Perhaps Brandi should start shopping around for an AAgent, no? 😉
