Brandi Glanville: LeAnn Rimes “has a severe eating disorder,” my son got “extremely ill” eating her laxative candies
As you probably know, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville and country singer LeAnn Rimes have been embroiled in a bitter feud ever since news broke in the tabloids that Rimes was having an affair with Brandi’s then husband Eddie Cibrian while on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights in 2009. (No matter how many times I summarize what happened I still can’t believe it went down that way. LeAnn Rimes? A Lifetime movie? Amazing.)
Things seemed to have settled down a bit last month, but the powder keg was reignited last week when LeAnn Rimes shared the seemingly innocent tweet, “Flying out with my boys in a few hrs. Love that it’s a family tour weekend. It’s always more fun when they are with me.” Brandi took offense to LeAnn referring to her and Eddie’s children as “my boys” and went online to let everyone know about it by angrily tweeting, “Someone is trying 2 get under my skin by calling MY children ‘her boys’Sooo transparent! They R MY boys, Eddie Boys and ur step-sons… 4 now.”

Then Brandi saw this video shared by LeAnn of her five-year-old son Jake riding a bicycle without a helmet and that set her off again. “Im trying not to tweet about something I just saw…. Breathe,” she wrote. Then, “Im taking a moment from twitter to breathe and punch some pillow.”
Although the bitter Twitter battle seemed basically over, Brandi decided to take her complaints somewhere that would allow her to talk in bursts longer than 140 words, IN OTHER WORDS, a tabloid. The 40-year-old reality star swaps out a pillow for LeAnn Rimes as she pulls absolutely no punches in a new interview with Us Weekly!
Brandi is asked how everything is going and she responds by saying that things have escalated recently “since LeAnn went into rehab, or wherever it is she went.” She explains that she is forced to engage LeAnn and her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian on Twitter because that is the only way she’s been able to get a response out of either of them. “I don’t have communication with [Cibrian and Rimes] because I don’t get responses when I reach out. I only get responses when I put it on Twitter. Twitter seems to work. That is the life they chose,” she says.
And that’s when the LeAnn bashing begins! Check out all of the things Brandi Glanville had to say about LeAnn Rimes in the interview:
“I know that my kids love her, and I know that she’s upset. I, unfortunately, don’t find her to be stable and I don’t want her around my kids when Eddie’s not there — or at least the nanny, his parents, someone.”
“Mason, my eldest, ate some of Le’s candies and got extremely ill. And Le’s candies are laxatives. It was a big f-cking deal for me, and I lost my mind.”
“LeAnn has a severe eating disorder. She has [a laxative] in every purse. Mason found one on the floor and thought it was a Skittle! They don’t keep sugar in the house. He thought he finally found candy! He gets extremely sick, and that freaks me the f**k out.”
[On the video of her son on a bicycle without a helmet] “I see Jakey, my 5-year-old, on a bike on Roundmeadow Road — a very busy road where drunk drivers have crashed into their house. . . He doesn’t have a helmet on and he’s driving without his training wheels, which he doesn’t even do at my house. He still wears them at my house, and he’s alone with her. She’s behind him and I know that he’s having fun. I’m sure it was great and I know that he loves her, but they don’t realize that they’re in danger. They don’t. And no one’s getting back to me about anything that’s going on. So I’m forced to take it to the public on Twitter. And then when people say, ‘Come on. Get over it.’ How do you get over it? These are my children. I will never be over my children. I’m not just going to say, ‘Well, f**k it.’ . . . These are my children and I don’t want this unstable person around them when she’s alone.”
“I said to my friend yesterday, ‘I don’t feel like she’s stable.’ God forbid anything ever happened between her and Eddie. She uses my children as a tool to get to me, and I don’t know if she cares about them the way that Eddie thinks she does. She cries that she didn’t have a childhood, but you know, I’m sorry that you were a child star. You got rich and famous at a young age. I’m sorry you didn’t have a childhood, but you’re acting like a child now. And I can’t have a child raising my children.”
“She loves them, but she’s endangering them. They may love her, but they don’t realize that, you know what, if he ate more than two laxatives — what if he ate the whole box — it’s just not OK. She’s not healthy. And until she’s healthy, I don’t want her around my children by herself. Eddie is a proper human being. He’s a good dad, he’s smart, he doesn’t have an eating disorder, he doesn’t have mental issues, he’s a normal person, and I want him to man up.”
“I think around [Eddie], she plays his perfect [wife]. And he doesn’t realize that she’s using our children and putting them in danger. And using them as a tool to get to me, and not just being a loving parent.”
“I’ve never said a bad word about LeAnn to my children and I wouldn’t. They will know someday about all of this and they will understand someday, but now is not the time because they’re happy. But I want them to be happy and protected.”
“I don’t want to keep [my kids] from their father. He loves them very much. I don’t know any other way to go than to go publicly right now. I can’t afford a lawyer right now. I already have lawyer bills from having to deal with Adrienne Maloof, and having to deal with Eddie on other situations. I need to be able to save some money, so I can buy a house.”

Meanwhile, in a statement to Us, Cibrian, 39, says, “It is absolutely ridiculous that my ex-wife continues to put the personal lives of myself, LeAnn, our sons and my family on public display for the sake of her notoriety. She is fully capable and has the means of contacting myself and LeAnn privately to discuss any matter concerning the children. The fact she chooses not to, should be pretty transparent. And while I do not wish to fuel her ever-igniting fire, there is a breaking point where enough is enough.
“My wife, LeAnn, continues to be a loving and positive influence on the lives of my sons. They are without a doubt lucky to have her. The love they have for their ‘bonus mom’ continues to grow each day as we navigate the changes to our family; a fact that Brandi cannot argue as she herself has stated as much,” Cibrian adds. “If my ex-wife truly cared about the welfare of our sons, she would stop the constant bashing on an important person in their lives and focus on productive co-parenting to make our blended family the strongest it can be. And she would do so privately. Let’s see. . .”
UPDATE – Brandi mentions an email she received from Eddie and he has since shared it in its entirety with Radar Online. It reads:
“I know your life exists solely for the purpose of living and creating drama,” Eddie wrote. “It’s a sad way to live. It’s so obvious that you have to constantly mention my wife so people will care what comes out of your mouth.
“One day when wine and narcissism are not consuming you, you will realize how fortunate the kids are to have LeAnn in their life. She is amazing with them, as the kids will 100 percent attest to.
“You should be so lucky to one day find someone who will love and respect Mason and Jake as she does. Although, I really don’t know how anyone can put up with your constant bullshit. No wonder you have lost so many ‘close’ friends.
“Grow up already and for once, PUT THE KIDS FIRST!”
Your move LeAnn.
UPDATE – And Leann has made her move, via her rep Marcel Pariseau, who issued this statement to Radar Online about the feud:
“There is only one person constantly speaking to the press and that is Brandi. Why do you think that is? Her whole show is based on controversy, drama and publicity. She is the only one to gain by spewing forth inaccuracies, rants and half-truths,” Marcel Pariseau said.
“It’s time for people to see it for what it really is – she has a book and show to promote and sell. And what better way to keep herself relevant. Why is all the name calling just coming from one side. Brandi keeps using threatening and mean-spirited statements like ‘I think she is a sociopath, I don’t hate her I feel sorry for her but if she hurts my kids I will cut a b**ch or probably something worse, I wanted to kill her,’ etc. and all LeAnn says is ‘my boys, my family’ etc. Are LeAnn’s words threatening or mean-spirited? I don’t think so, LeAnn and Eddie have the boys 50 percent of the time, so they are a family and LeAnn is a great and caring co-parent. As Brandi stated ‘my boys love her’ and LeAnn loves them.
“Brandi keeps grasping at straws to make LeAnn seem like an unfit mother. Brandi’s story changes daily. Just watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and you decide. It’s time for Brandi to move on. LeAnn has!”
Your move Brandi.
