Nick Gordon arrest details: Mug shot, 911 call, Bobby Brown’s reaction

Nick Gordon arrest 911 call

Nick Gordon was arrested in Sanford, Florida on Saturday and charged with domestic violence after an altercation with his girlfriend Laura Leal. Laura says that Nick punched her in the face and pulled her hair while she was driving; officers on the scene saw marks on Laura’s face, so they placed Nick under arrest. However, Nick claims that Laura attacked him and threw a bottle at him — a claim that seems in line with his frantic 911 call.

According to the police reports, Laura Leal says she picked Nick up at a bar and was driving him home when he struck her in the side of the face several times, pulled her hair, and stated that he should make her wreck the car.

After the altercation in the car (which sounds very similar to the Chris Brown and Rihanna altercation years ago), the fight continued at Nick’s house. It was Nick who called 911, sounding inebriated and distraught as he told the operator that his girlfriend was “acting insane.”

As mentioned above, police observed injuries on Laura, so Nick was arrested. “I didn’t hit her,” Nick stated to an officer on the scene. “She attacked me and ripped my shirt. She also threw a bottle at me. I just want her to leave my house.”

There were no visible injuries to Nick, so Laura was not charged in the incident. Nick was booked for Battery Domestic Violence, but was soon released after posting a $500 bond. His next scheduled court appearance is on April 6.

Laura refused medical treatment and also refused to press charges against Nick.

UPDATE – Laura has written a letter to the judge in which she reveals she is bipolar and has a history of anger issues. She says Nick has been a great help to her and she takes responsibility for the altercation that led to his arrest. Nick Gordon was never charged in the 2015 death of Bobbi Kristina, but he was found guilty of wrongful death in civil court and ordered to pay Bobbi Kristina’s estate $36 million.

Bobbi Kristina’s father, Bobby Brown, has issued a statement after Nick’s arrest this weekend offering assistance to Laura Leal via the Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House.

“Domestic violence killed my daughter,” he said through his attorney Christopher Brown. “I do not want to see any more families destroyed at the hands of domestic violence and I do not want any more women to suffer like my daughter did.”

Nick was previously arrested on domestic violence and kidnapping charges in June of last year after an incident involving his girlfriend at the time. She refused to cooperate with police, and those charges were later dropped.
