Rumors about Bobbi Kristina drug use have persisted for years–and now, thanks to recently released court documents in the ongoing civil suit against Nick Gordon, we’ve seen some of the ugliest stories yet. Legal observers claim that Gordon has testified about Bobbi Kristina drug use in order to strengthen his own case; Brown and Houston family supporters say Gordon is simply trying to smear the deceased.
Danyela Bradley, a friend of Gordon’s who lived in Bobbi Kristina’s townhome for a time in the months leading up to Bobbi Kristina’s death, has testified regarding Bobbi Kristina drug use…and what she said was not flattering. According to Bradley, Bobbi Kristina “smoked marijuana, she probably smoked crack often, and also did heroin.”
Bradley’s comments were part of a videotaped deposition she gave relating to the car accident she and Bobbi Kristina were in on January 27th, just five days before Bobbi Kristina was found face-down in her bathtub.
When asked to describe her relationship with Bobbi Kristina, Bradley was equally candid: “Me and Krissy became very, very close,” she said. “Our relationship just grew as if we had [grown] into sisters up until her passing.”
Bradley also addressed the time she spent living in Bobbi Kristina’s home, and returned to the topic of Bobbi Kristina drug use: “When I first lived with her,” she said, “I didn’t know that she had actually had a problem with [drugs] until I had lived with her…for a couple of weeks. I guess after a few weeks she just didn’t really hide it….I would just visually see her physical being and I could just tell.”
Bradley further testified regarding the change Bobbi Kristina’s demeanor, depending on the drug she was on at the time. Bobbi Kristina would become “very sleepy, [and] nod off” and “kind of keep to herself” when she did heroin, and, allegedly, would “just be not even talkative” after doing crack.
Although Bradley’s testimony is related to the case of the January 27th car accident, and not the ongoing Nick Gordon civil lawsuit, there is speculation that Gordon’s legal team had a hand in making the testimony public.
The allegations of Bobbi Kristina drug use mark the second time that Danyela Bradley’s name has come out in connection with the Bobbi Kristina bathtub incident. The first was this past summer, when it emerged that there had possibly been a third party–a white female, allegedly fitting Bradley’s description–lounging on Bobbi Kristina’s bed while Bobbi and Nick Gordon were in the bathroom having an argument.
According to that report, Gordon, after leaving Bobbi Kristina in a tub full of cold water, approached the bed, “curled up” to the figure on the bed, and told her “Now I want a pretty little white girl like you.”
Nick Gordon has yet to testify in the $40 million civil lawsuit that the conservator of Bobbi Kristina’s estate brought against him shortly before Bobbi Kristina’s death. A trial date has not yet been set.
