Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom finally sign divorce papers

Khloe Kardashian Lamar Odom Divorced

There will be no “making it work” for Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, after all. More than a year and a half after she filed for divorce, they’ve both signed off on the legal documents. To make it all final, a judge just has to add a signature.

Despite filing for divorced in December 2013 and dating other people, Khloe still hadn’t signed the next-step papers in April of this year. Around the same time, she said she wished the divorce wasn’t necessary.

“I will never ever not love Lamar. I was so obsessed with him in a healthy way. He was my husband, and I still wish he was, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that,” she said this spring. “There’s nothing I can do. Lamar has to do things in order to change in that aspect, but yeah, if I had my way I’d be married to Lamar in two seconds.”

Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much good news in regards to Lamar since the split. Following rampant reports of his drug abuse, he briefly played basketball in Europe. He returned stateside last summer and had a chance to play with the New York Knicks, but was released from the team in July 2014 for his lack of professionalism.

“Unfortunately, Lamar was unable to uphold the standards to return as an NBA player,” Knicks president Phil Jackson said at the time. “We found it necessary to free up the roster spot.”

Khloe is reportedly now dating NBA player James Harden.
