VIDEO Bill Cosby directly responds to questions about sexual assault accusations for the first time

Bill Cosby GMA Interview

With 45+ women now accusing him of sexual assault, Bill Cosby spoke directly about the situation this week for the first time.

In an interview with Good Morning America about his partnership with the Black Belt Community Foundation, the 77-year-old comedian said he isn’t concerned the high-school students he will meet through the organization will be very concerned about the allegations. If they are, he seemed to say he believes they will take him as more of a hypocrite than a criminal.

“I think that many of them will say, ‘Well you’re a hypocrite, you say one thing, you say the other.’ My point is, listen to me carefully, I’m telling you where the road is out,” he said. “You wanna be here, or you wanna be concerned about who is giving you the message?”

Cosby went on to suggest he’s the victim of a modern witch hunt.

“I have been in this business 52 years and I’ve never seen anything like this,” he said. He cryptically added, “Reality is the situation and I can’t speak.”

As for what will come next in his career, Cosby — who recently wrapped his Far From Finished tour — said he isn’t entirely sure. If he had to guess, he said, “I have a ton of ideas to put on television about people and their love for each other.”
